Booking Your Commission

Follow the guide below to learn how to book your own commission

1.Start by looking over my starting pricing and sizing options offered for commissions! Note that these are base prices and customizations are available at an additional cost. Once you have looked the options over, the next step is to fill out my Commission Request Form below. Here you will provide me with a description for the commission you have in mind, what size you may be interested in and provide reference pictures!

2. Once I receive this submission, I will look over your reference photos and we will speak directly through email about the specifics of your commission, which medium I would recommend, and confirm what size would be most appropriate! I will also provide an estimate on the portrait timeline.

3. After these details are confirmed, you will receive an “Order Summary” that will lay out a mock design for your portrait, list any customizations made, and breakdown the payment process.

4. I will ask that you look this Order Summary over and confirm everything is how you imagined it would be for your dream portrait. This is where we work out all the details so that when I start your commission, it is exactly as you'd expect!

5. When the Order Summary is finalized, a deposit will need to be placed to hold your spot on my commission list. This deposit comes out of the total portrait cost and is not an additional fee.

6. From here your portrait will be confirmed and the next email you receive will be a notification that your portrait is next up on my list and is going to be started! You are welcome to reach out with any idea changes up until this point for free. Once the portrait is started, any changes or additional customizations not disclosed prior will result in an additional fee.

7. Once the portrait is complete, you will be notified! All pastel portraits will be completed and framed in a simple, black frame that is included in the portrait price. Oil paintings will be finished unframed unless the frame is requested by the client at an additional cost. Clients can either pick up their completed portrait in person at my studio location at Midway Art Studios in Midway Kentucky, or your portrait can be packaged and shipped. Shipping fees are not included in base price and will be discussed in the Order Summary.
